looks like nish is coming to india!
it's the coolest news i've heard in weeks....didi has finally decided that she is going to be brave and go thru with the flight tagging the little monkey with her : )
mom and dad are totally excited at the prospect of seeing their grandson.
as for me, don't even ask. i can't stop grinning :D
(since my books blog isn't going anywhere, am inserting the posts into my main blog)
just finished reading Jane Austen's Emma.
rather predictable, i would say. didn't feel as much empathy for the protagonist as in other austen novels, Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility for instance. it was definitely better than Mansfield Park though!
the relationship between Emma and Mr Knightley wasn't very finely etched and the final realisation of being in love seemed almost forced.
the language was good - long sentences written lucidly and with a great turn of the phrase. typical austen.
nevertheless, going back to a classic was good after reading the morbid Collected Stories by marquez!
next one - Fathers and Sons by ivan turgenev
